Vertigo Grill

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Banyan Tree Bangkok still offers up excellent value in a comfortable and convenient setting, for both business and leisure visitors to Thailand’s bustling capital.

Spa Suite

Located in the central business district, next to the venerable Sukhothai and slick Metropolitan hotels, the hotel is 5-10 minutes  away from the nearest Skytrain station (essential when Bangkok traffic goes into its infamous gridlock at certain hours of the day), with easy access to shopping and sightseeing.

Banyan Tree’s expansive spa, is an oasis of calm, with 16 well appointed spa suites, an experienced team of excellent therapists, and an impressive treatment list.

Originally the hotel’s helicopter deck, the Vertigo Grill and Moon Bar on the 61st storey is un-missable, where fine cuisine and wine accompany spectacular 360 degree city views.  The hotel also has five other restaurants ranging from Japanese, Chinese, Thai, as well as an elegant teak rice barge for dinner on the Chao Praya river.

Retreat to Northern California

If you find yourself driving towards Napa, why not stop off for a spa treatment, gourmet meal and some R&R at Calistoga Ranch? Their amenities are as good as it gets and their surroundings are stunning. In fact, it's so secluded and exclusive that many Hollywood stars feel comfortable dropping in without the hassle of paparazzi. It's not a bad way to recharge before a long week of winery visits. Always Losing/Damaging your Sunglasses?

If you are prone to losing and/or damaging your sunglasses, then you should check out these "pack-flat-as-a-pancake" sunglasses from Nannini. Not only are they relatively inexpensive, they also fold completely flat into a special case that's only a few millimetres thick. Now, you can pop your sunglasses into your pocket without misplacing or breaking them ever again. And, because they come at such a reasonable price, you can even afford to buy several to put into different bags, drawers, car glove compartment, or wherever... so that you always have a pair when you need them. Click here to read our review of the Nannini sunglasses. Or, click here to buy them from Amazon USA.
