“Here comes the rain again… falling on me like a new emotion…” Or, not, as the case may be.
It is raining, though. And gusting. London is blustery and bilious. A reminder that Autumn is rapidly approaching.
Wind Resistant Travel Umbrellas
It’s umbrella weather. And, as usual, we have to round up all the unusual umbrella designs that we can. Partially out of curiosity but, also, because some really innovative designs come along.
You will, of course, remember the weird and wonderful (and decidedly unfashionable) Nubrella. And the more sensible Blunt Umbrellas. Plus, the summertime Fanbrella.
Here’s another one – the Senz Mini.
Actually, Senz has lots of different colours/patterns but they all have one thing in common: their aerodynamic shape.
When it’s wet and windy, you want an umbrella that is strong, wind resistant and ultraportable. Not a nuisance.
The shape of the Senz umbrellas is unique. It is meant to allow you to face a gail force wind head-on without repercussions. You won’t get airborne like Mary Poppins but your umbrella won’t invert either.
Check out their Wind Tunnel testing video:
Don’t you just love that guy’s job? He spends the afternoon facing a wind blower in goggles and jostles an umbrella around.
The Senz umbrellas come in lots of different colours – if not in different shapes.
The mini is really mini. A fantastic travel umbrella. Check out these dimensions:
They also come with 50+ SPF UV protection, so you can use them in summertime, too.
