Notice the sleight of hand here in that it’s called a ‘Solar Shower’, as opposed to ‘Solar-Powered Shower’. That’s because it’s basically a black PVC bag that gets very hot when left out in the sun.
Still, it offers 20 Litres of water on demand that is as hot as mother nature will allow. They claim that if left out in a British summer sun (which, mind you, we haven’t seen much of lately), it should still be able to heat its contents to 40 degrees Centigrade in about three hours. So long as you don’t expect a hot shower at the crack of dawn, this could end up being a very pleasant experience.
The bag is, of course, refillable. You supply the water. Nature supplies the sun (hopefully). It costs less than $10 a bag.
