The Wine Skin is a bubble-wrap lined wine tote bag that is leak proof in case the bottle breaks inside. It snuggly fits a standard 750 ml bottle of your favourite Bordeaux.
The material is meant to be puncture proof, which is good. Still, I wouldn’t want to stick a fork in it.
The flaps are self-adhesive seals that you peel off and use to close the end.
The product is pitched at people who are packing wine that they bought on holiday to take home and worry about the bottles breaking in their bags. An alternative might be to buy an indestructible bag with padding – check out our Pelican/Hardigg post.
If you aren’t shipping wine on a regular basis, though, this wine skin should do the trick.
There’s no reason to stop at wine. This could easily be used to transport olive oil, precious vinegars and nitroglycerine.
Bear in mind that they aren’t meant to be reusable but with a little ingenuity and fortitude, who knows…

Alternatively, you could go for the WineHug – which IS reusable, since it’s a self-inflating bottle carrier cum travel pouch. It isn’t as space saving, perhaps, as the wine skin but it’s more versatile. If you don’t inflate it all the way, however, you could save space while still protecting what’s inside.
