Every article I come across goes on about how great these speakers are for use by the pool (because they’re splash-proof), or wonderful for camping (rugged), or by the beach (solar-powered), yada-yada… But, as far as I’m concerned, they miss the most obvious utility, which is that it can be used to jump-start my car.
Actually, no, it can’t do that. Although, it does look like a jump-starter. Perhaps, that’s a feature for version 2.0.
In the meantime, yes, it does have quite a long list of cool specs:
- battery unit lasts roughly 8 hours without sunlight
- can be used to recharge other USB devices
- connects over Bluetooth
- Can be dropped from a height of 3 feet
okay… that last spec was lame. 3 feet? Give me a break. That’s like falling off of a chair. Hardly a dramatic drop. I do that all the time.
It also has that cool, Kermit-the-frog look. Matches my Alienware laptop.
