Paris Hilton may be responsible for a surge in portable pets but not everyone has the budget to splash out on a Vuitton, or suitably couture luggage. Besides, not everyone treats their pet as a fashion accessory.
Australian vendor, Sleepypod, is trying to bridge the gap with their line up of mobile pet beds. However, judging from their fashion-conscious advertising, I don’t think couture is their strong point. Somehow, models toting around Sleepypods as if they were Prada bags, falls short of the ideal. Nevertheless, the product looks pretty solid and, thankfully, isn’t ugly.
The Sleepypod can be taken on airplanes and the smallest of the bunch can even fit under the seat in front of you. There are customisations available – such as ultraplush bedding and electric warmer pads – and the Sleepypod comes in a variety of colours. Your pet should be both comfortable and secure.
The Sleepypod can also be buckled in easily with a car seat-belt. Check out this video to see how:
The base product retails for $250 Australian.
