We’ve taken a look at some of the other Aquapac products and find them a bit hit-or-hiss (e.g. SLR submersible camera case). However, their submersible bags & cases are useful for transporting delicate items and – in some cases – can allow you to use your gadgets in harsh environments.
Their newest iPad bag is similar in construction to their SLR submersible camera bag. Once inside the bag, the iPad can still be used – finger controls still function through the clear plastic – and there is a pass-through for the headphone jack.
Use it at the beach and you might scare everyone else into thinking there’s been a chemical leak but at least it won’t clash with your hazmat suit. Yes, it’s a bit like using your iPad in a plastic bag but at least it won’t get covered in sand and dog slobber.
iPads are reported to overheat – especially at the beach. Not sure that this bag will help in that regard. If anything, they probably make things worse. Looking forward to user feedback here.
